It is really hard for me to try and analyze Regina Spektor because she is pretty weird. But this song is beautiful. And the things she can do with her voice take my breath away. I think this song is about a man that goes to a cathedral and sees all of the saints on the wall and feels broken and sinful but the beauty of it is, we are all broken and we are all sinful. This makes us human. "All mankind are now your brothers" and so this man is the Human of the year. And if I want to put my little plug on Jesus is that we are not left in our brokenness and sin. We are offered redemption and grace. We are offered a gift to be transformed into the image of our Creator. We can boast in our weaknesses as humans because God's power is made perfect in weakness.

But then he said to me "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses so that Christ's power may rest upon me.
